Is The Workout Challenge Too Tough?

Wednesday, March 3, 2010
It appears as though 5-Hour Energy's latest contest, the Workout Challenge, may be too tough for some of the fans. So to help you have a chance at winning the 1-year supply of 5-Hour Energy shots, we are going to make you a deal at some free answers.

First of all, the demands of the quiz shouldn't be a surprise; it's a challenge, not a cakewalk. It's all things that 5-Hour Energy fans love, a little challenge to bolster your competitive side, and the chance at drinking 5-Hour Energy shots for a year to motivate you to study!

Remember, this is a quiz to test your attentiveness to detail. We're examining your knowledge of energy drinks and how they can affect your workout along with some questions that your dog could answer while asleep. We are also giving you all the study materials you need right there on the contest page. It doesn't get much easier than this. This contradict the previous statement that it’s a challenge, not a cakewalk.

Needless to say, we know you're struggling more than usual, and we hate to see you stress. But because you've tried, and even a little effort in this world has its reward, the 5-Hour Energy Guy is putting on his sympathy hat and giving Twitter fans some free answers so that you, too, can have a chance at the 1-year supply.

To get some free answers you need to do two very, very simple things and you need to do them before the MARCH 12 deadline:

First, we need to know if you're 5-Hour Energy Featured Fan material. So tell us how 5-Hour helps with your workout in 400 words or less. Just for doing this, you'll be entered into a drawing for a 3-month supply of 5-Hour Energy shots, plus an opportunity to become on of our VIPs and show off in your own Featured Fan profile on our site.

The second step to getting the free answers is to tweet the 5-Hour Energy Guy with this phrase, "@5hourenergyguy I'm in it to win it. I filled out the Featured Fan form & now want some answers to the quiz for the 1-year supply". He'll tweet you back with some answers ASAP.

If you're not already tweeting but are a Facebook fan of 5-Hour Energy, just post that same phrase on the wall and we'll message you back answers on Facebook.

It doesn't get much easier. Take the two quick steps and you'll be in the running with free answers for 1-year supply accompanied by a 3-month supply and your own page on the 5-Hour Energy site. Remember, MARCH 12 is when this opportunity is complete. Take the quiz as many times as you need to get it right.

The 5-Hour Energy Workout Challenge

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

As the first contest of 2010, the 5-Hour Energy team is taking the shortest month of the year to push our fans to reach their fitness goals with the 5-Hour Energy Workout Challenge.

The Workout Challenge is aimed at Men’s Fitness subscribers, who already have a stronger drive to go farther, and 5-Hour Energy Fans, who know exactly what the world’s best selling energy shot can do for their day. The challenge will be pushing participants to change that negative attitude of "Don't-Want-To" into a goal-smashing "Can't-Stop-Me" demeanor at the gym, on the field, down the trail or wherever they are working out.

Just like any good regimen, there needs to be some preliminary warm-up and stretching before getting the heart pumping and sweat dripping. For the Workout Challenge, you will warm up by learning the benefits of 5-Hour Energy. Your motivation will get a boost by studying fitness facts, drink comparisons and exercise tips. The warm up will conclude with the Energy Drink Quiz, a fitness test of sorts, which can be found on the Workout Challenge page.

The key is to avoid the distractions and focus on finishing in time. It's tough to do when the fit trainer catches your eye or a phone call pulls you from the treadmill. But if your performance is stellar and you answer all of the questions correctly, you'll be entered to win a 1-year supply of 5-Hour Energy shots.

After a short warm-up, it's time for them to get to work. The next step of the Workout Challenge is to try a 5-Hour Energy shot just before a workout and then share with the 5-Hour Energy team what you liked about it, what improved in your workout, how they plan to use it for eclipsing benchmarks and anything else worth bragging about. This short report submitted with a picture of them and a 5-Hour Energy shot in action automatically enters you into the pursuit to become one of 5-Hour Energy's next Featured Fans accompanied by your own profile in the 5-Hour Energy Fan Zone and a 3-month supply of 5-Hour Energy shots.

Although it's an individual challenge, getting support from others can always help. The 5-Hour Energy Facebook page is a great place to share fitness strategies, gather new workout ideas, post photos and videos documenting your progress, and get a well-deserved pat on the back from fellow fitness buffs. The 5-Hour Energy Guy on Twitter will also be sharing similar tips from other tweeps and Facebook fans to keep your workout regimen fresh and that "Can't-Stop-Me" attitude driving.

The 5-Hour Energy Workout Challenge will conclude on March 12, 2010, which means getting ready for spring break and bikini season. It shouldn't take long for fans to realize there is a positive and noticeable difference when a sugar-free, 4-calorie shot is a staple of their new workout.
