I consider myself a professional volunteer. I’m a paramedic and rescue technician, member of the fire department, and a Red Cross disaster volunteer. I live in a very rural community in western North Carolina. In some places residents live more than 40 minutes from an ambulance station. When the phone rings or my pager goes off, often in the middle of the night, I have to jump up and go immediately, and be awake and ready to make quick decisions. 5-Hour Energy helps me keep going on long daytime calls, and helps me wake up and function fast at night. And when the call is over I can fall back to sleep.
