Indianapolis Race Report
Clint Bowyer Race Summary: No. 15 RK Motors Charlotte Toyota driver Clint Bowyer finished 20th in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Michael Waltrip Racing driver started 17th but struggled from the start reporting a loose-handling race car that saw him drop to 25th. Bowyer fell off the lead lap on lap 48 as the race proceeded caution-free. The first of only three cautions fell on lap 60 leaving all but 14 cars down a lap. Bowyer, who lost a lap on lap 48, kept racing hard before returning to the lead lap on lap 114. The No.15 team led lap 147 before making its final pit stop and crossing the finish line 20th. Bowyer remains second in the standings 75 points behind leader Jimmie Johnson. The No.15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota will be back in action Sunday at Pocono Raceway.

BOWYER: "The No. 15 RK Motors Toyota was just a handful today. Crew chief Brian Pattie made a few good calls on pit road to get us back on the lead lap. We will go back to North Carolina and regroup for Pocono."
